A Summer Wedding on Christmas Lake

Bridget and Michael
This sweet and down-to-earth couple met at her Grandparents cabin several years ago. So when their original 4th of July Wedding at Nicollet Island Pavilion was not possible, the obvious new venue was her Grandparents cabin where they first met, on Christmas Lake.
In a nod to summer, and the 4th of July, the ceremony was in blue, with Bridget’s classic white bouquet containing subtle notes of blue delphinium. The boat house was decked in balloon garland, and they shared their first dance on the dock. Finally, dinner with their immediate family, overlooking the lake as the sun set.
Intermittent showers occurred all day, but the forecast showed it clearing about 5 minutes before ceremony time. So, we set up the floral in the rain, and the sun came out just in time for them to promise each other forever, overlooking the lake where they first met.
