How to Choose Your Wedding Flowers: THE ONLY thing you need to know!
Hint, it has NOTTHING to do with flowers!
You may be wondering, “How do I choose my wedding flowers? I have no idea what I like… or what the flowers are… or where to start.”
You’ve been searching Pinterest, googling until you’re cross-eyed and you still don’t know if you want peonies, dahlias, or ranunculus, and now they all look the same and that one website said that one flower is really smelly and that’s going to clash with the smell of dinner and what the heck are you supposed to do now?!
Deep breath. Breathe. You’ve come to the right place. I’m a florist and I’m here to help.
As you’ve seen, wedding flowers are complicated. There are so many factors to consider like shape, color, texture, hardiness, scent, and season.
It’s too much.
You’re already up to you eyeballs in wedding decisions, and there is no need to get stressed over the flowers. I promise.
You need a florist you TRUST.
That’s it. Trust your florist, and we will do all that work for you. With our their years of experience and industry contacts, it will be a breeze. And you won’t have to worry about a thing.
We’re experts at guiding you: developing a color palette; selecting the right flower for each area of your wedding; and customizing the entire design to you.
You don’t have to do this alone.
How do you find a florist you trust? Follow these steps:
Step 1: Look at florists near you. Look at their website and Instagram, and see who’s style appeals to you! Make a list of 3-5 to start.
Step 2: Reach out to each florist and set up a consultation. You’ll want to have your wedding date and venue set, and that’s it for now!
Step 3: During your consultations, be honest. Tell the florist that you’re lost and need guidance. The main thing we’ll want to discuss is the season and the color palette. Some may ask about your dress, or more about the venue. Each florist’s creative process can look different, but they will ask the questions they need to create something amazing for you. Just be honest.
Step 4: Chances are, one of these consultations went really well, and you’re leaning towards the florist who makes you feel at ease, has great taste, who just GETS it.
That’s all you need to do. Find the florist you trust. They will navigate all the floral details, and they’ll handle all the sourcing and the shipping, you won’t have to do a thing but show up on your wedding day to glorious blooms that are customized to you and your fiancé.
